Transfer Credit Evaluation

All transfer students are evaluated by the Registrar’s Office on a case-by-case basis.

Official Transcripts

After an incoming transfer student has deposited, the registrar’s office will begin ensuring that all relevant final official transcripts have been received. If the final official transcript has not been provided to admissions, the registrar’s office will contact the student to request any missing official transcript(s).

Notification

Once all final official transcripts have been collected, the registrar’s office will contact the incoming transfer student through email to provide their official transfer evaluation. The official transfer evaluation will inform the student of each course that will transfer to 911ºÚÁÏ and each course that will apply to 911ºÚÁÏ’s general education requirements.

Classification and Advising

The evaluation will also provide the student’s classification and advising instructions. The registrar’s office will serve as a transfer students’ academic advisor until the student declares a major. All students must declare a major before they begin their third academic year, including their time at other institutions. Once a transfer student declares a major, they will be assigned an academic advisor within that program and the program chair of that discipline will evaluate their transfer courses for requirements in that major.
