Student-produced substance misuse video wins national recognition

911ºÚÁÏ student Ethan Banzon's video won second place in the national Red Ribbon Week PSA contest.

A 911ºÚÁÏ student earned national recognition from the Drug Enforcement Agency and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Agency for a public service announcement created to help combat drug misuse. 

Ethan Banzon, class of 2025, created a one-minute video for the Red Ribbon Week Campus Video PSA Contest, garnering second place nationally.

The honor was announced during the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators’ 2024 Strategies Conference in San Francisco. 911ºÚÁÏ will receive $3,000 to support campus efforts to prevent drug misuse among their students and a recognition plaque.
